Human Resources

The Human Resources Department strives to attract, recruit, hire and retain the highest qualified individuals who will provide a safe, secure and supportive learning environment.  We are committed to providing service and support to employees and applicants in all personnel-related matters.  Those that are interested in future employment with Groesbeck ISD are welcome to complete an application.  See Board Policy (DBC) regarding employment policies.

 

Application Requirement    Incomplete  application  will  not  be  processed.  

A completed application includes:

  1. All forms completed in the application packet
  2. Copy of identification document(s) (as listed for completion of I-9 form)
  3. TB test results for those wishing to work in food service (administered within last 12 months)
  4. Official College Transcript(s) (if applicable)

A criminal history check will be processed. Information will be submitted to check if the applicant needs fingerprinting or not.  If the applicant is in the criminal history system and passes the criminal history check, no further action is necessary.  If the applicant is not in the criminal history system, the application will receive a FASTPASS for fingerprinting.

Teaching Position (Submit Professional Application)
    Salary: $36,724 to $59,572 (depending on years of experience) + coaching stipend if listed.  
    Additional:  $2,000 for Master's Degree; Retire/Rehire employees are responsible for all TRS payments
    Qualifications/Special Skills: Texas Teacher Certification for appropriate subject/level.  Must be Highly Qualified

Classroom Aide (Submit Service and Support Application)
     Salary:  $11.34 (Min Rate) to $13.82 (Mid Rate) (depending on years of experience)
     Qualifications/Special Skills:  Level I Aide Certification (Paraprofessional Academy)  College hours preferred.

Bus Driver (Submit Service and Support Application)
     Salary: $13.31 (Min Rate) to $16.23 (Mid Rate) (depending on years of experience)
     Qualifications/Special Skills: Clear and valid Texas commercial driver’s license with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements; Ability to pass U.S. Department of Transportation alcohol and drug tests and annual physical exam; Ability to complete required bus driver safety training; Ability to follow; written and verbal instructions; Proficient map reading skills; Ability to manage student behavior; Ability to communicate effectively with others and Ability to operate bus.

Substitute (Submit Substitute Application)

Teachers

          Non-Certified

          $60.00 a day for first five days
          $100.00 a day after three weeks

          Certified

          $70.00 a day for first five days
          $150.00 a day after three weeks

Teacher Aides

          $60.00 a day for first five days
          $75.00 a day after three weeks

Qualifications/Special Skills: If you are interested in subbing in the classroom, you must attend a substitute training class.  You must attend a substitute training to sub in the classroom.

***** Long-term substitution for classroom teachers must be approved by the Superintendent and/or designee.  Teachers seeking long-term substitution must meet the District's policy approval process.  Long-term substitutes will be reviewed for qualifications in that are needed.

*** If an absence is known to be greater than three consecutive weeks at the inception of the absence, the certified substitute teacher will be paid $200.00 per day beginning with the initial day of absence

Bus Drivers $13.00 an hour

          Co-Curricular Trips

Custodial    $7.75 an hour

Cafeteria    $7.75 an hour    Qualifications/Special Skills: TB Test

Maintenance

          Grounds   $8.50 an hour
          Skilled Trades  $9.50 an hour
